Opportunity for Experienced Construction BDMs in SYDNEY, New South Wales

THE ROLE
Due to further success and expansion in the market, an opportunity has arisen to join a market leader in the construction industry as a Business Development Manager. Our client has a great reputation within the commercial construction space and is looking to expand on its current market share. You will be building upon an existing base of clients, establishing new relationship as well as maintaining those with potential businesses and current clients. You will receive a $70-80K base + super + benefits and an extremely lucrative commission structure with a realistic first year OTE of $100 -120K.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This role is an opportunity to work within the building and construction space, dealing with commercial or high density residential projects. You will be project focussed, looking to establish a base of clients with a diverse portfolio of developments and projects. Selling directly to builders, you will be responsible for entertaining clients, and consistently networking to ensure existing relationships are cemented and new networks are built.
YOU NEED
The role is largely stand alone, but also some reporting to management, so you will need to be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team. As the successful candidate, you will have:
2-3 years experience in related field
A track record of having met or exceeded sales targets and a `hunter` sales mentality
Sound capability in client relations, market development and sales management
Proven track record in sales - generating leads, cultivating networks and closing sales
Existing networks or prior business within the building and construction space
A tenacious approach to the sales process - motivated and driven
